Refrigerator Service and Repair

Household refrigerators have been around since the turn of the 20th century. The first units were large and bulky, requiring technicians to install compressors and motors in the basement or an adjacent room, while the cold box was located in the kitchen and in some cases, cost more than a Ford Model-T. Soon thereafter, the first self-contained units in porcelain covered metal boxes started to populate the market. Many of these refrigerators required little maintenance, service or repair, with some units still running to this day. With the introduction of freon in the 1920's, refrigerators became safer, and after World War 2, refrigerators went into mass production, consistently evolving, improving, and adapting to become the ubiquitous appliances we all know.

Today, refrigerators are easily the most used appliances in the home, with many home owners having more than one. Technologically, having evolved over the last 100 years, refrigerators have become more efficient but at their core, the cooling systems' have remained largely unchanged since their inception. Refrigerators, in most cases, are now part of the "Smart Home", capable of connecting to the internet, tracking your groceries, and are run by their own internal computers, a far cry from the simple timer controls of old.

Modern units are deigned to be easy to use, and simple to maintain, but even with regular refrigerator maintenance may not prevent problems. Built-in, freestanding, or under-counter, our technicians have the knowledge to deal with any issue that may arise, whether its a problem with the compressor, computer, timer, fan or something in between, we are here to help.
